We have a place for you at Cornerstone. If your passion is anywhere from kids, young adults, middle school students, the community, feeding those around us, this is a perfect place for you! We have many different Dream Teams, or volunteer opportunities to match your passions! 

Dream Teams:

C | Kids

Cornerstone Kids is made up of several ministry areas:

• Nursery—This team serves the preschoolers (6 weeks - 5 years old). Each week children experience bible stories, music, crafts and other hands on activities. They serve by being room assistants, storytellers, MC hosts, prayer team members, and crowd controllers.

• Elementary—This team helps create a place where children (K-5th grade) are boldly exposed to the love of Jesus. They invest into the lives of kids by serving in small groups leadership, worship, tech team, MC hosts, prayer team, and crowd control.

• Thrive—This team serves our special needs children through unique models designed to meet their individual needs.

• First Impressions—This team serves as the friendly face that welcomes families and guests and assists families through the check-in process.

C | Youth

Cornerstone Youth is a movement of middle school and high school students with a mission to develop a faith in Jesus that sticks. We desire for every student to experience the love and awesomeness of God while discovering who they were created to be. We have opportunities for leaders to serve as small group leaders, event and production teams, and crowd control.

C | College and Young Adult

Cornerstone College and Young Adult is for people who are passionate about serving those between the ages of 18 and 28. This is one of the most pivotal times in a person’s life as they navigate college, new careers, new marriages, and new families. We have place to serve in worship, small group leaders, service projects, and event and production teams.

C | Married Couples

Cornerstone Married Couples is our ministry dedicated to building strong marriages that can both withstand the difficulties of live and also to thrive as they grow closer together and become more and more like Jesus. We have opportunities to serve in small group and event coordination and hospitality.

C | Singles

Cornerstone Singles is a ministry designed to reach single adults at our church. So often, the church overlooks singles and sees them as simply a temporary stage of life on the way to marriage. We believe that God has so much to offer and teach us when we are single, and we want to serve these adults with as much compassion and focus as our married couples. We have opportunities to serve in small groups, outreach for single mothers and event coordination and hospitality.

C | Men

Cornerstone Men is a ministry designed to create a community of men who are passionate for Christ, wild at heart, dangerous for good, valiant for truth, and filled with virtue. We want to see men become the leaders in their marriages, families, work, and communities that God has called them to be. We have opportunities to serve in small groups and event coordination and hospitality.

C | Women

Cornerstone Women is a ministry with a purpose to bring women together to build bonds of friendship and grow closer to Jesus. We desire to see women set free to the be the beautiful and valiant women God has called them to be. We have opportunities to serve in small groups and event coordination and hospitality.

C | Over 60’s

Cornerstone Over 60’s, also known as Young At Heart, is our ministry to those who are over the age of 60 and entering into elder hood. Often our culture devalues those who are older in favor of youth. At Cornerstone, we believe those who are older are a critical and necessary part of the health of our church. We have opportunities to serve in small groups and event coordination and hospitality.

C | Groups

Cornerstone Groups is a team of leaders that facilitates small groups in their homes, at Cornerstone, and other places throughout Athens.

C | Guest Services

Cornerstone Guest Services is our first impression to all who come to Cornerstone from parking lot to parking lot. This team includes:

        • Greeters

• Users

• Parking Lot Team

• Cornerstone Central Desk • Security Team

• Medical Team

• Host Team

C | First Steps

Cornerstone First Steps is our ministry to those who have made a decision to follow Jesus for the first time, those who are rededicating their lives to Jesus, and those who have been saved but have never taken that first step towards deepening their walk with Jesus. This team 

includes:

C | Prayer Team

Cornerstone Prayer is made up of several areas:

• Sunday Prayer Team

• Weekly Prayer Team

• Conference Prayer teams 

• Intercessory Team

C | Worship Arts

Cornerstone Worship Arts is our team that seeks to create an environment that conducive for people to connect to the presence of God. This team consists of the singers, musicians, dancers, and artists who lead in worship on Sunday mornings and at other events.

C | Production

Cornerstone Production is the technical support team that creates a powerful worship environment through camera, lighting, and sound elements and set design.

C | Care and Outreach

Cornerstone Care and Outreach is our ministry dedicated to helping those in need. This team includes the following areas:

• Food Pantry—This takes place every 3rd Saturday at the church beginning at 8am and feeds hundreds of families.

• Redemption Lift—This team prepares food every Sunday during the 11am Service then feeds individuals and families in our community who need a meal.

• Transportation—This Team is composed of drivers who go around Athens, using our bus and vans, to designated stops and picks up people for the 11am service.

• Hope Truck—This team helps with the outreach and service projects using our Hope Truck, a large truck designed to go into communities to provide 

services or disaster areas to provide supplies.

• Celebrate Recovery—This team helps those who are seeking to overcome habits, hangups, and hurts. They meet weekly on Mondays at 6:30 every week of of the year.

C | Merchandise

Cornerstone Merchandise helps sell the various merchandise products of Cornerstone on Sundays and at events.
